UC Davis Film Festival Poster

Inspired by Fauvist painting I digitally painted this poster and created the identity for the annual Film Festival in Davis. The previous poster needed updating, and the new one was to be lively and make viewers excited to attend. This poster was translated into various mediums.

The image is of the iconic Varsity Theatre downtown, where the film festival is held. The organizers really wanted to make this year's event distinct from previous years so I gave the photograph of the theatre a new look by painting over it using Photoshop. With this project I was able to combine the two subjects I'm most passionate about:art & design.
